Joseph “Jay” Longmire completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Mississippi in 1981 then earned his law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 1985. Later that very same year, he was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar as well as U.S. District Court, Middle District Court of Tennessee, and the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit.
Since then, he has been practicing law in Hendersonville, and earning his reputation as a skilled, knowledgeable, ethical, and honest attorney. Mr. Longmire is a certified Civil Trial Specialist since 1993 as well certified as a Civil Pretrial Specialist.
His areas of practice concentrate on Serious Personal Injury, Domestic Relations, Commercial/Business Litigation, Contract enforcement and account collections, and Criminal Defense.
